Danie is CEO for the KAIZEN® Institute New Zealand and oversees a team of consultants delivering wide variety of Lean / KAIZEN® projects focused on all aspects of business process improvement.
His industry experience includes Services; Process Manufacturing; Discreet Manufacturing; as well as Distribution and Logistics. Current and recent clients projects include FMCG; Retail and Distribution; Tertiary Education Provision; Utilities.
After completing his M.Com – Strategic Management (Cum Laude), Danie worked in logistics roles for large service companies and later for Ernst & Young Consulting (South Africa) specialising in Business Process Improvement, Supply Chain Management and Strategy. In 1996 he immigrated to New Zealand and joined Ernst & Young Consulting (New Zealand) where he continued to specialise in Supply Chain, Supply Chain Software implementation and process improvement consulting assignments for several prominent New Zealand companies.
In 2000 he joined Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products as Supply Chain Development Manager. At the time CHH was owned by International Paper. He became co-founder and Operations Manager for a CHH’s new venture companies, Straightedge, selling and delivering e-business and innovative Do-it-Yourself software solutions into North America.
In 2003, Danie and Richard founded Smartchain, a boutique Supply Chain consultancy, and then in 2006 he became a Director and CEO of KAIZEN® Institute New Zealand.
Danie is also the current President of CSCMP’s Kiwi Roundtable.
